Class sizes are limited, please do not show up on the first night of class without contacting Nancy to see if there is still room in the class.  Classes are often filled before the start date.

FVDTC is holding a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test Thursday, September 29th at 7:00 pm. at the Kane County fairgrounds.

You must register in advance to participate. Please pick up a registration form at the training table on Thursday night or visit www.fvdtc.org and find the link on the EVENTS page.

It's Time to Clean the Mats!


Time's running out...Earn work credits at the Annual Mat Cleaning Event!

8:30 AM Monday, September 26 at the Kane County Fairgrounds.

No experience required!

Approximately 4 hours, 2 WORK CREDITS.
But "many hands make light work", so the more volunteers the less time required! Believe it or not, you can even have some fun!
Items needed:
Power washers

wet/dry vac,

water hoses,
extension cords,



and most of all BODIES!
Sign-up sheet at front table on training nights.

Even if you can only commit a couple hours, we need you!  Contact Ed Herdes or Cheryl Hettinger.


FVDTC Fall Agility Trial


Fox Valley Dog Training is proud to host the 2016 Fall Agility Trial, September 17-18 at a new location:

Entries open July 3 with a draw held on August 16. Entries close September 3.

Tracking Test 2016


It's that time again! FVDTC will hold its annual tracking test at Burnidge Forest Preserve in Elgin on Sunday, September 11.

FVDTC offers a complete range of classes including Puppy, Conformation, Rally, and all levels of Obedience.  Many of our members are also involved in Agility, Tracking, Water Rescue Dog, Herding Training, and Therapy Dog work.   We are enthusiastic about helping those interested in these various canine activities.  FVDTC welcomes mixed breed dogs into our training program.  Both Mixed breeds and Purebreds can earn titles through AKC and UKC registries, as well as qualify for club awards.
